Arriving in Beijing

Last morning on the train. One young woman brought her small dog on with her, and it was adorable, but I like dogs. Dr. Z isn't as keen on them. It's been a while since I've seen a pet, so of course I squealed like a 12-year-old.

Beijing!

Kind of like the Space Needle. Kind of.
It was difficult navagating the subway with my giant heavy suitcase, but in due time we arrived at the hotel. Beijing is a very easy city to get around in; the subway is very convenient and evert stop is announced in Chinese and English.

If this room were slightly bigger it would make an awesome studio apartment.

I like pretty sinks like in the commercials.

My giant heavy suitcase, now less heavy since I removed the smaller suitcase from it. Behind it, my stove. I love this hotel.
The rest of the day was all about relaxing. We went to the grocery store, where they were highly amused that I forgot to weigh my fruit, and went to a nice restaurant where they fed us pork buns, saying they were vegetarian. Everything else was delicious, though.
